The cashier check is often written for an amount significantly greater than the purchase amount and they will ask the difference to be refunded. Often the check appears to have cleared when deposited in the seller's back only to turn up as counterfeit, with the seller being held responsible. Please verify all buyers and / or call the issuing bank and make sure it had authorized that check before conducting any transaction.
